Hi I have my ultrasound result right now but it is hard to me to understand. My doctors is not duty right now, so I was confused to this result. Hopefully you can help me?. This is my result: The uterus is anteverted with homogenous echopatter. The uterine corpus measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 3.8cm. No myometrial mass noted. The endometrial lining is hyperechoic and thick measuring 1.2cm. There is small decidualized anechoic focus noted within the endometrium measuring 0.3cm, suggestive of an early gestational sac. The cervix is long and normal measuring 2.8x2.0x1.8cm. No focal mass noted. The right ovary measures 2.8 x 1.9 x 1.7cm The left ovary measures 2.9 x 2.1 x 1.5cm No fluid in the cul-de-sac

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your ultrasound scan details are explained below

1. The uterus is anteverted with homogenous echopattern.

The uterus position is normal

2. The uterine corpus measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 3.8cm. No myometrial mass noted.

The walls of uterus are normal.

3. The endometrial lining is hyperechoic and thick measuring 1.2cm. There is small decidualized anechoic focus noted within the endometrium measuring 0.3cm, suggestive of an early gestational sac.

There is early changes of pregnancy noted in the uterine cavity. This shows changes expected in early pregnancy with the presence of a small 3 mm gestational sac.

4. The cervix is long and normal measuring 2.8x2.0x1.8cm. No focal mass noted.

The mouth of the uterus is normal.

5. The right ovary measures 2.8 x 1.9 x 1.7cm The left ovary measures 2.9 x 2.1 x 1.5cm.

The ovaries are normal.

6. No fluid in the cul-de-sac

This is a normal finding.

In conclusion, you are having an early pregnancy and you can get another ultrasound scan done after a month to know growth of pregnancy and fetal cardiac activity at about 7 weeks from your last period. Please do not worry.
